STEM Educational Programm
FIRST LEGO League gives students an age-appropriate access to research, design and programming. We spark an early interest in STEM (math, computer science, science and technology) and strengthen students communication skills and teamwork.
With our two offerings, Explore (for 6 to 10-year-olds) and Challenge (for 9 to 16-year-olds), children and young people always find suitable tasks in a team as well as in their school class and can grow with and on the program. This is how we create sustainable STEM promotion!
Over the course of several years, participants can learn about and explore an exciting topic each year from a wide range of fields, such as recycling, energy, transportation, and urban development.
Explore is suitable for beginners in primary schools and Challenge for secondary schools. To start smoothly we recommend the format In the Classroom, which is independent of the competitions and exhibitions. School classes up to 30 kids can work on the tasks according to their own schedule and organize their STEM lessons flexibly. The format can be integrated directly into lessons or implemented as an AG or all-day program. It includes practical projects with LEGO robots that strengthen creative thinking and promote communication skills. Finally, internal competitions ensure team spirit and fun! When they have gained experience the class can also enter the competition mode and start with a team into regional events.
Over several years, participants can get to know and explore an exciting topic from a wide range of areas such as art & STEM, recycling, energy, transportation and urban development every year. All information about discovering and participating in the educational program can be found on the website: FIRST LEGO League.
