Vision

What we do and why

It is our mission to not only teach children and young people technical skills - we also enable them to use technology sensibly, think independently, communicate ideas and interact with good spirits. This way they are given all the skills they need to become great engineers and developers, for example, or to take up any other profession they want.

"We" are 30 association members, 6 employees in the office, as well as many partners from education, research and business and countless volunteers and helpers who make the success of our educational programs possible in the first place. Since 2001, the non-profit association has been working as an actor in STEM education (nationwide and internationally) for and with the young professionals of tomorrow!

Our most important tools are educational programs with a competitive character such as the research and robot competition FIRST LEGO League Challenge, the FIRST LEGO League Explore program and the regional qualifying tournament of RoboCup Junior in Berlin.

The STEM programs FIRST LEGO League with the divisions Explore and Challenge and the RoboCup Junior combine the fun and excitement of a sports event with the tricky challenge to build design and programm a robot out of the LEGO Mindstorms system.

Children and young people have the opportunity to use these challenging robot competitions and gain valuable practical experience in working with complex technologies, they can improve their problem solving abilities and all that with a lot of fun and creativity in their peer group!

Since 2002 more than 75,000 children and young people have participated in our programs, and the programs are growing: More and more children are participating each year!

Example: Participants in FIRST LEGO League Challenge until 2019/20.
