Vision

What we do and why

Since our founding in 2002, we have been working successfully in the STEM education field, organizing research and robotics competitions for children and young people. We not only want to teach them technical skills - we also empower them to use technology in a meaningful way, to think independently, to communicate ideas, and to live a good life together.

The association was founded in 2002 in Leipzig and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2022. The association consists of active and regular members as well as honorary members. In addition to the 30 volunteer members, the association has a large network of partners and volunteers who support the association and the respective projects with their work. The daily business is exempted by 10 employees in the office.

Our most important tools is the educational program FIRST LEGO League with a competitive character including a research and robot competition approach with the offers Discover, Explore & Challenge which we run in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The STEM program FIRST LEGO League with the divisions Discover, Explore and Challenge combine the fun and excitement of a sports event with the tricky challenge to build design and program a robot.

Children and young people have the opportunity to use these challenging robot competitions and gain valuable practical experience in working with complex technologies, they can improve their problem solving abilities and all that with a lot of fun and creativity in their peer group!

Since 2002 more than 75,000 children and young people have participated in our programs, and the programs are growing: More and more children are participating each year!
