Mitmachen, Lernen, Gestalten mit FIRST LEGO League

Since our foundation, we have relied on a proven success: FIRST LEGO League. The international education program by FIRST and LEGO inspires children and young people aged 4 to 16 around the world to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in a playful, hands-on, and globally recognized way.

Through age-appropriate formats, participants learn to research, design, and program. They develop their own solutions to exciting annual themes such as energy, urban development, or the environment – discovering how technology and creativity work hand in hand.

FIRST LEGO League brings together everything that matters to us as an organization: teamwork, technical understanding, independent thinking, and enthusiasm for discovery. Since 2001, we have reached more than 180,000 children and young people across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The Future Edition is coming: Together into the next generation of the program

To make learning with robotics and coding even more accessible and future-ready, our main project, FIRST LEGO League, is evolving. With the Future Edition, officially unveiled by FIRST and LEGO Education on January 12, 2026, a new chapter of the program is beginning worldwide.

Over the coming two years, the Future Edition and the Founders Edition will run in parallel. We look forward to shaping this exciting transformation together with the community and will keep you informed in the weeks ahead.

The Founders Edition is the proven program using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ technology. It can be used through the 2027/28 season and is particularly suited for existing structures as well as for running learning offerings.

FIRST LEGO League Explore

This program offers children aged 6 to 10 years a playful introduction to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The focus is on building, exploring, and presenting ideas together around a seasonal theme.

Further Reference Projects

In addition to the FIRST LEGO League, we have implemented numerous other projects and initiatives over the past 20 years to inspire young people to engage with STEM.

These include technology and robotics competitions for young people at the national and international levels, hands-on workshops and educational series, presentations at trade fairs, as well as seminars and training sessions for leaders in cooperation with partner institutions.

Our many years of experience show that practical learning opportunities, early experimentation, and creative challenges motivate children and young people in a lasting way.
