Active in the STEM Community – Making Our Shared Strength Visible

by Stefanie Sieber

In recent weeks, we have been active at several STEM events, showcasing our work, our community, and the FIRST LEGO League. In addition to attending the Central German STEM Teacher Conference in Halle, we were represented, thanks to the dedicated support of several members: at five award ceremonies of “MINT Zukunft Schaffen.”

As a member of the initiative, we are delighted each year by the recognition of STEM-friendly schools and Digital Schools. Many of these schools are also part of the FIRST LEGO League community, some with many years of involvement. We want to strengthen and celebrate this connection.

Call to all schools in our community: A sustainable STEM concept can firmly integrate the FIRST LEGO League into daily school life, and many award-winning schools already show how it’s done. We therefore encourage all schools that have not yet received the seal to apply for the next application round starting in spring. Learn more here.

It’s a strong signal for continuous STEM promotion and aligns perfectly with your FIRST LEGO League activities.

Special recognition in Baden-Württemberg: We congratulate our board member Thomas Madeya, who was honored as a STEM Ambassador at this year’s event in Baden-Württemberg! A well-deserved recognition of his long-standing commitment and passion for STEM education. You, too, can join the nationwide STEM Ambassador network and share your enthusiasm for technology, education, and future topics.
